Eric Yu
Elections Manager
AKA Flight Director
The Flight Director, callsign “Flight”, is the person who is ultimately responsible for the mission and makes the critical decisions. Eric is our Elections Manager. He has been with Schooled Election Pilot for over 9 years and has been heavily involved in school board elections all that time. He knows so much about elections, and especially school board elections, that he has probably forgotten more about elections than most people ever learn… That is why he is our Flight Director.
Nadine Hughes
Elections Administrator
AKA Guidance Officer (GUIDO)
The GUIDO monitors and advises on the spacecraft’s guidance, navigation and control systems. Basically, this is the person who makes sure the mission is a success. Even though Nadine is the most recent addition to our team, she comes with a wealth of experience supporting complex situations. She has a steady hand on the controls, making sure your election lifts off and makes it to its destination on time, every time.
Jonathan Brooks
General Manager
AKA Capsule Communicator (CAPCOM)
CAPCOM is the direct link between Mission Control and the astronauts in the spacecraft and is an astronaut themselves. Jonathan is the General Manager of Schooled and has over a decade of experience in a number of board and governance positions. He is able to provide a board lens to the election mission and ensure communication with boards and leaders is clear and on target.
Geoff Sargison
Lead Project Developer
AKA Flight Dynamics Officer (FIDO)
FIDO is responsible for the flight path of the space vehicle. The FIDO monitored vehicle performance during the powered flight phase, calculated orbital manoeuvres, and monitored the vehicle flight profile. Geoff has been the lead developer from the Hail team in building the updated Election Pilot platform. He works with the rest of the Mission Control team to make sure all elections are running according to the mission profile and fixes any unexpected issues (usually before they are even noticed by anyone else).
Stuart Dillon-Roberts
Integrated Communications Officer (INCO)
AKA Hail Founder
The INCO is responsible for all communication links, including the telemetry link between the space vehicle and the ground. Stuart is the founder of Hail, the technology partner providing all the intelligence and security that the Election Pilot platform is built on. Stuart and his team have built the Election Pilot system, and he is the man who ensures the communication between Schooled and Hail is clear.
